Naphthaquinones are dark yellow pigments with a range of pharmacological properties. Some have antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties. Examples include:
Plumbagin from Drosera rotundifolia is cytotoxic at high does and immunostimulating in lower doses
Lapachol from Tabebuia sp (Pau D’arco)
